So, the time has come for me to decide if I am staying here in South Africa for 5 more
months or not. I’ve been given a deadline of Friday to decide. I have been
praying about it since July. I really don’t know what God wants me to
do at this point. I love it here and it will be an awesome opportunity
for me to stay even longer.  I will come home for Christmas either way. Christmas break is 2 weeks long. In January we will be splitting the team up and sending them out to 3 different locations. We will still be doing ministry out in the community and have teaching/discipleship time several times a week. Five of the leaders we have now will not be coming back next semester. So they really need more leaders I will have to raise support all over again. I will have a very short time to do that while I am hope.  So I write this to ask for prayer and direction for this upcoming semester.

  1. DeeDee,
I’m praying that God gives you clear direction. From my heart: this opportunity doesn’t happen often and may not ever happen again. To hear how God is using you and moving all around you is an awesome thing. I’m sure that if God allows you to stay that He will use you in even bigger and better ways. I’m also sure that if God brings you home that your testimony and excitement will be used in a mighty way.

God often opens the door and being in the flesh, we shut it. Sometimes we open the door but if we do it prayerfully and God doesn’t want us to go through it then He will shut it. God will show you the way!

    Prayerfully,
    Kyle

  2. I’ll be praying Dee Dee! I know that’s a big decsion! But I know you will make the RIGHT decision through prayer and God’s direction. I’ll be praying w/ you for sure about this! Don’t let raising the support scare you either. B/c just as God provided…He can do it again! =) Just like that song at Temple…”He’ll do it again!” Love you!

  3. Dee Dee,

Be assured of our prayers. Also be assured of God’s great provision for those who are willing to step out and trust Him. Jer. 33:3.

    I love you,

    Dad

  4. Praying for you Dee Dee, I know God will give you the answer you’re looking for. We’d love to have you return to help lead one of these teams.

(I think you should stay the extra time..) 🙂

  6. Hi Dee Dee-
Catching up on what you’re doing and the ways God is working through you and the ministry is such a blessing. Thinking about your position, I thought of what I do:
Often times, being so far from home and family, I find myself just stopping what I’m doing and being silent. Try to clear your mind of all of your tasks, plans, and just stuff. It is these times that God uses the Holy Spirit to guide my paths. Praying for your decision and hoping you’re smiling while reading this.
